Drivers wanted
I am reaching out to VIP and solo drivers that may be available to take "pet rideshares" when they are empty. Perhaps you are empty on the way to your VIP pickup and a pet needs to be picked up and dropped off before you get to your pickup area. I am curious, if it helps you out, will you consider being put on a "Pet rideshare" possible list?
Bidding and Broker websites take to much of a percentage! Can you help?
Certainly, Often times while I am on route to a VIP or solo job, I am driving to the pickup empty. I always love to have my expenses paid for. As long as the pickup and drop-off doesn't conflict with solo/VIP jobs, I can assist. Pet rideshare jobs can be half the price of solo jobs. As long as I get a 25% deposit while in route and remaining payment at time of pickup. Your administration fee will be minimal compared to those brokers and bidding websites.
Pet Rideshare! The Pros and Cons!!
Pet Rideshare can be very affordable and can be harder to sync between mulitple clients. This website will try to explain the ease and sometimes the complexity of pet ridehshare services vs solo pet transportation.
Help pet shippers/receivers understand pet rideshares complexity
Pet Rideshare is sometimes the most affordible options. Often splitting the cost in half with one or more pet households. The amount of pets that are on a trip most likely will be based on the size of the vehicle, the amount of pet handlers and if pet friendly hotels are required. Most pet friendly hotels (including budget type) only allow two pets per a room.
Pet Rideshare can be very easy for those that aren't on strict timelines. Pet Rideshare can get very complex when huge distances between one pickup to another pickup is involved or in busy cities. When one or both (all) clients have tight timeframes, such as a flight, one client not being available for an on-time pickup can negatively affect the other pet rideshare client. If your time schedule isn't "go with the flow", you might want to consider solo pet transport.
Pet transport providers should be skilled enough to know how to introduce other pets with your pet. If this isn't done correctly, it can be very bad, stressfull, dangerous and have anxiety for one or all the pets. Anti-social , tempermental pets should never be sent on a pet rideshare for its and other pets safety. Even when kennels are required.

Q1: How many pets are allowed on a pet rideshare?
A1: This depends on how many pet handlers are going on the trip, the size of the vehicle, if pet friendly hotel rooms are used and last and definitely not least USDA APHIS current laws. Please ask questions directly to the service provider. OOTO Enterprises LLC based out of Phoenix AZ, only takes up to two pet households and only 3 pets per a driver for oneday trips and 2 pets per a pet handler for overnight trips. They use 2 pets per pet friendly hotel room policy.
Q2: What types of pet can go on pet rideshares?
A2: That depends on the pet transportation provider and all parties on the trip. This can make a matchup harder to find. Its okay and is expected. Safety, health and less pet anxiety should be the number one factor in all pet transports.
Q3: What happens if one pet household backs out of a pet transport? Does the trip still go on?
A3: This can and will happen at one point or the other. This is the reason that a pet transport provider may ask for 100% of the pet transporation cost such as fuel and pet friendly hotel rooms are covered at time of the pickup. Example: Trip is 4 days for both clients, the pick up and dropoff is very close to each other. 400 to 600 miles will be travelled per a day, 3 pet friendly hotels will be used. Estimated trip cost between both pet household is $900 each totally $1800. One of the clients backs out because of a schedulling change in their vacation. If the pet transport provider didn't get full 100% from each of the clients and only asked for 1/2 up front. The driver might not be able to complete the trip because $450 barely covers the fuel cost.
Q4: I prefer my dog to ride coast to coast on dog beds in the back of a van, is this possible with a pet rideshare.
A4: It is not recommended and based on USDA APHIS it is technically illegal.
Q5: Are all puppies requied to have their distemper/parvo vaccinations?
A5: Most definitely, I also do not recommend pet rideshare for puppies. If any vaccination records are fraudulent, it can gravely affect all pets in the vehicle and all pets that encounter infecteted puppy's stools at rest stops and exercise breaks. All puppys should at least have their 2nd parvo vaccination before any type of pet transport. Please consult your veterinarian for more about this topic.
